Thank You, Volunteers!

We are so grateful for the volunteer work that has been accomplished by our community. Our beautiful city would not be the same without you! Please read about members in our community who have went above and beyond.

Thank you, Al Horne!

Al Horne donated his time, equipment, fuel and energy, to revive our swim beach. Al volunteered him time raking weeds, cleaning up the debris, and mowing the area around our swim beach.

We appreciate you, Al!

Thank you, Katherine Stockbauer and Tim!

Katherine and her brother Tim took on the task of cleaning up around the fence at the beach. They weeded and cut down trees that were growing along the fence, as well as riding the area of tree roots.

Katherine also cleaned the dock at the beach and rid it of goose droppings. Now our families will have a beautiful, clean place to relax and swim.

We appreciate you, Katherine and Tim!

Thank you, Maddie and Rachel!

We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to our inaugural interns, Rachel Stark and Maddie Smith, as they embark on their journey with our web content management program. They mark the beginning of an exciting chapter, poised to make significant contributions alongside our dedicated volunteer web management team. Their arrival injects a wave of fresh perspectives and dynamic energy into our digital realm.

Rachel and Maddie have hit the ground running under the guidance of our intern coordinator, actively collaborating to elevate the Houston Lake websites. Notably, they have spearheaded initiatives to enhance accessibility, such as digitizing newspapers for public access and publishing the city code. Their efforts are instrumental in fostering a more inclusive and transparent online presence for our community.

We appreciate you, Maddie and Rachel!
